“I have been taking medication for asthma for over 5 years.  When I took a good, deep breath, I would cough.  Before I went to sing, I would have to use the inhaler and after singing would cough repeatedly. Different things in the air (perfumes, dust, pollens, etc...)  would set off allergies which would trigger an asthma attack.  I was having to take what the doctor called a "maintenance inhaler" twice a day.  I would have to use a nebulizer when the maintenance inhalers, and regular inhalers did not work.  I would have to check my blood oxygen level with a pulse oximeter to keep from overusing the nebulizer. God touched me on Saturday night, August 29th, 2009.  Since then, I have not used any of the inhalers or nebulizers. I am breathing better than I have in 5 years.  I can take a very deep breath and not have a coughing fit.  I can sing without coughing or having to use an inhaler before singing.  Hallelujah!  I give God all the praise and glory.  I have been thanking God for my healing every day.  PRAISE GOD!

Skoliosis & Arthritis Healed

Written by Melinda Wednesday, 21 January 2009 09:57

When I was three years of age, I was diagnoed with skoliosis.  It wasn't bad enough for surgery, so I was very fortunate compared to others.  However, it caused me a lot of pain.  I have played sports all growing up, and every time I would go up to bat, go on stage to dance (cheerleader), or any other sport, I would have a sharp pain in my lower back.  I got a vision from God at Church camp in the summer of 2007.  My vision was of me on stage and I wasn't sure what I was doing, but it was revealed to me from God through Joe.  On January 13th or 14th, Joe was having an alter call at my church and asked if anyone had skoliosis.  I walked up to the front wanting and expecting to be healed.  Before he started to pray over me he asked me if it bothered me when I played sports, and I told him it did.  Then he asked me if I ever thought of doing sports for a bigger purpose.   I have always wanted to do dance as a ministry in some way.  I even compete at Fine Arts in dance.  He started to pray over me and I got filled with the holy spirit.  I found myself on the floor when God was done healing me.  While on the floor I moved my back around and instead of popping it to feel better, I felt I popped it back into alignment and my spine straightening.  I got up and started praising God.  Joe pulled me on stage and asked me to do something that would normally hurt, so I bent over to touch my toes and felt no pain.  It has been four days of no pain and not only do I not have skoliosis anymore, but I also got healed of arthritis in my knee.  I am almost sixteen and will live my life for God and His will to be done through me.  Thank you Joe for coming to our church, and one day I want to be one of the people working in your ministry.

Warner, Oklahoma

In Warner, Oklahoma we had a great time of training, followed by a city-wide outreach.  We knocked on hundreds of doors, gave out hundreds of bottles of water, and reached the local college.  The town consists of around 1,500 people and we were able to reach out to the whole city in one day.  It was the first time the church had reached out like this in its entire history.  On Sunday the church was packed with several people from the outreach and everyone was encouraged.  The church was strengthened and grew, and the Kingdom of God was advanced.

Suicide

Written by Joe Oden Thursday, 07 August 2008 16:32

One night as I was on my way to preach in Garland, Texas.  I stopped at a gas station about two miles from the church.  While I was in line to check out, a man that had been drinking all day started making jokes with the female cashiers as he bought another beer.  I reached in my pocket and realized I did not have my personal tract, “From Dope to Hope”  to hand him, and asked my wife if she had one.  She didn’t, and I was very disappointed because I felt I missed a divine appointment.  As my wife and I were getting in the car to leave, he pulled up behind us and started talking to me.  I immediately asked my wife to get a tract.  I got one and had to run out because he was about to leave the parking lot and pull into the street.  I went over and handed him the tract through his window and as he read the title, “From Dope to Hope,” he began to weep.  He told me that it was what he needed, and that he was about to commit suicide.  I invited him to the church service that night and he agreed to come.  I followed him home, and he got in my car with his Budweiser and came with us to church.  Some might say, “Why did you let him get in the car with a beer?”  It’s because he was lost and didn’t know any better.  After he got saved, I could teach him that you shouldn’t drink beer.  I was not going to let that be the reason he did not come to church.  He told some people that night he was going to go home and take scores of Tylenol and go to sleep.  But, guess what?  He got saved instead

Johnny Jernigan

In Mobile, AL, we saw a mighty manifestation of the power of God.  Some kids shook under the power of God for hours.  We anointed all of the kids with oil an they were mightily hit by the power of God, as if they were struck by lightening.  It was indescribable.  I spoke with Johnny Jernigan, who serves as Senior Pastor of this church, and he told me that some of the kids will not wash their clothes where the oil has soaked into the fabric because it was so special to them.  That week, thousands of people were reached through those services geared for a city-wide invasion.  The youth pastor and pastor told me this ministry grew as a result.  The youth pastor told me that their Sunday School room was packed the following Sunday and they didn’t have enough room to put all the kids.  Some were in the hall sitting in chairs.
