Our Newsletter
April 2012
Hello friends and family,
Hello again from deep in the heart of Texas. Can you believe it’s already Spring? We are now a quarter of the way through 2013. Time flies when you have your nose to the grindstone, and we certainly have this past month.
We have so many great testimonies from this past month and not enough space to share all the wonderful things the Lord has done. While in Dothan, AL with a great friend of mine, Pastor Jason Duren, the Lord moved in a mighty way. We were also able to establish an evangelism commission on top of the powerful services and outreach that weekend. The commission we put together will be serving the church in their evangelism efforts and keeping the great commission a primary focus. They are involved in our free monthly conference call and we send them our monthly complimentary teaching, as well. We love to see evangelism birthed, sustained, and consistently advancing throughout all we do at Joe Oden Ministries. Fruit that remains is our goal; not just planting good ideas.
Over the last four months we have ministered to around 60-75 or more different evangelism directors/leaders on our monthly conference calls. We have seasoned ministers and evangelists from all over America speaking into the lives of these directors and evangelists. This month we will have Evangelist Kevin Dedmon. He authored a fantastic book called, The Treasure Hunt; it’s a tool in prophetic evangelism. He is based in Redding, CA at Bethel Church, alongside Pastor Bill Johnson. For more information about joining us on these calls, feel free to contact us. All of our monthly partners play a vital role in helping make this happen!
What an amazing time we had in the Lord while at First Assembly in Fort Wayne, IN with a great man of God, Pastor Ron Hawkins. We were back for a second month in a row. This time we had an all-church outreach. We are establishing their evangelism process and building an evangelism commission. It is a large church of over 2,000 people so I will be going back several times this year to help them with this process. They plan to build evangelism into every function of the church; from youth, men’s ministries, women’s ministries, and so on. I am very excited about this because we will be putting together a prototype that can be revised to fit other large churches, as well. Pastor Ron is also a statewide leader over hundreds of churches and is bringing me and my District Superintendent, Pastor Rick DuBose, back to teach and implement what we are doing in Texas for the state of Indiana. We are seeing our prayers and vision come to fruition in the area of establishing evangelism in other regions of America on a broader scale. We are heading back to North Dakota next month and will look at a more continual relationship in that state, as well. This is a great opportunity considering all of the growth they are experiencing from the oil boom.
We enjoyed our time in San Antonio, TX at Cornerstone Church where Pastor John Hagee serves as senior pastor. I gave an altar call for salvation and around 50-75 responded to repent and receive salvation. It was a time filled with conviction and weeping before the Lord. Many were rocked by the power of God and set free from their life of sin. TBN filmed it and interviewed me as well. We will let you know when it will air and what region it will air in for you to watch. It was a great honor to minister at this amazing church that is impacting America.
While at Hope Church with Pastor Bobby Nixon, God’s power was felt! The services were marked with mighty manifestations of the Holy Ghost and power. Many were transformed and delivered from the spirit of this age. We mobilized around 55 people to share Christ and reach their community. An evangelism process was started and we are continuing to work with them to solidify outreach and public relations as apart of their church’s DNA.
As I said, this month had so much to share. We were also at “That Church” in Corsicana with my good friend, Pastor Mike Howell, and had a great service. In addition to these services, I also taught an evangelism class at Calvary Church in Irving, TX every Wednesday night. These nights were wonderful and I’ve been asked to continue working with them in the area of evangelism.
Once again, I want to take this time to thank you for all of your prayer and support! We appreciate you beyond words! I pray God’s richest blessings on you and yours! Until we meet again and always, may the Lord bless you and keep you and His face shine upon you!
Together in the Harvest,
Joe Oden

Part of me moving down to Texas from Illinois was not only to go to Bible school, but to seek out the opportunity to work with Joe Oden. I became connected to Joe through my pastor, Jakob Barrientos. He took our youth group to the Collision conference in Dallas TX where Joe Oden was preaching. From that point forward I knew I wanted to serve under him. I didn't know how, but I was determined. Soon after the Collision conference my brother and sister moved to Dallas to attend Bible school, and made a trip back up to Illinois with Joe. This is when I got to personally meet Joe. Upon my arrival to Texas a few years later I remember walking into our church, Heartland, to attend Heartland School of Ministry. I walked by Joe’s office and he called me in and asked if I would like to travel with him, and I immediately began working with him. This ministry has really encouraged me to get out and win souls for the Kingdom of God. It has also pulled spiritual gifts out of me such as word of knowledge and healing. My goals for being an evangelist is to eventually travel overseas to India, Africa, and Cambodia… to reach the unreached by preaching and moving in the demonstration of power. Joe has been training me by giving me the privilege to lead the evangelism team from (CFNI) Christ For the Nations Institute. This allows me to lead teams to Oak Lawn Ave. (the homosexual district of Dallas), where we have seen amazing moves of the Holy Spirit. I enjoy serving and learning how to mobilize and connect with churches. I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to work with Evangelist Joe Oden. ~ Kase Stolte
